Kiwi culture

Welcome to New Zealand, Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud, and is home to a number of Kiwis. I know that the kiwi, while it is our national bird is a flightless ground dweller, but that says little about the people who live in this beautiful country. Perhaps at this point I should say that the kiwi is truly a beautiful bird, and a free in the wild, or to see even in captivity, is an impressive event.

Right so now I'm distracted by the kiwi. Where was I? Right, kiwifruitResidents of New Zealand, also known as the youngest country in the world. We really are an interesting bunch, and I say that has come in the best possible way and to New Zealand not only enjoy the breathtaking scenery, but to get to know some very cool people.

So, let's dive right into it. What exactly is Kiwi culture, people, races and groups aside, let's find out what makes Kiwis tick.

We must start with rugby, which was introduced to New Zealand in May 1870th Thefirst game of rugby has been played rugby since Nelson and something that New Zealand has been quite good, to say the least. For decades Kiwis rugby were crazy, and it was every boy's dream to grow up and have a day to an All Black. The All Blacks are a national icon, and if they lose an important game the whole country will go into mourning.

Locally, you can pretty much expect every city with at least one rugby club have, and most Saturdays, when you godown to the local sports park to local rugby at its best, the city will be treated for the city, province against province, and sometimes brother against brother. I can speak from experience as I present the winger for a local third Division Team, which is really a Kiwi what I do. I'm in it just for fun, but for many locals lived and breathed rugby and a win on Saturday is a must, as well as the get together after a match filled with drinks and stories of combat.

Perhaps one of theRugby is most famous things about the short shorts that carry the players. This item is called a squat and it is the dress code for Kiwis everywhere filtered. It is not unusual to see even in the dead of winter, a good ole Kiwi guy wearing a pair of stubbies, seemingly oblivious to the cold. I can not say that I always have the support of this symbol of Kiwi culture, but I have known for a couple, even if I do not play rugby don. Maybe it's good for the tan work on that leg,but your guess is as good as mine. It feels quite free himself though.

I guess while we are talking to us about the sport, it would be fair to mention other growing sport in New Zealand, it has not ¬ during the popularity of the national rugby still enjoyed, it is definitely growing in popularity. The sport is football (or soccer, depending on where you are coming from) and the recent success of the New Zealand All Whites and Wellington Phoenix has really strengthened in the eyes of the nation. Bring on theFootball World Cup and the future of football in New Zealand. Football really is a fantastic sport and for the younger generation is just as popular, playing at the weekend as Rugby surprised you did not see a rugby match will be played next to a football match when you visit the local sports park .

Kiwis are definitely not for rugby and football is limited. We excel in sailing, cycling, increasing endurance racing, golf, basketball, canoeing, horse riding, cricket and basket ball. These sports are all over New Zealand in some degree and this will be all clear that not only are Kiwis rugby-mad, mad, but sport in general. Other sports that can be found are tennis, table tennis, bocce, bowling, badminton, volleyball, squash, athletics, not to mention all the schools in self-defense.

Okay, maybe not everything in sports-centered. We are a funny country, but our morale is very high and internationally recognized. Most Kiwis believe that if aJob is worth doing, it's worth doing well. Perhaps you have heard of Kiwi ingenuity, also known as No 8 wire mentality? We are a nation that has gone on in and do it, no matter believes what the obstacles. But if there are obstacles, you expect your average Kiwi, successfully and quickly come up with a solution or some ingenious way of moving the problem with unconventional means and what is the time available. It is generally a high standard and areAchieve what is required.

An attitude of kiwis that you probably encounter is the "It is good!" Attitude, which is generally individuals rather than companies or public service reflects and is connected to Kiwi ingenuity. I want to be mentioned at this point, however, that New Zealand has a very high health and safety standards that need to be a very safe place to visit and enjoy taking part in the attractions and activities for which it is known to make. While the "willBe right! "Attitude is perhaps not the best attitude to have, it reflects to some extent, what they want from the man if he expected in New Zealand. We are a very laid back company and love to relax and enjoy the company of others, food and good times.

One of the coolest ways to relax is a real Kiwi have BBQ. If you are an invited, the expectation is to bring something to share with the group, perhaps a little too pat on the Barbie, or a drink or salad for the group. The maleson the grill is usually found around or near the grill eyeing the food with a drink in hand, and the females either to entertain or get anywhere else in the kitchen and preparing the rest of the food. A grill is a very social event and the food is really good.

So let's talk now to expect of the variety of food, if you're here. Barbeque food is one of the varieties, and it is also definitely worth a try. The meat can be cooked to perfection andThey are some of the things that go be amazed at the Barbie. Another well known kiwi favorite is Fish 'n' chips. The chips are deep fried are delicious and beautiful, and either crispy or hot and humid, depending on where and what you want. Fish is battered and fried as well as the type and is usually snapper, shark, hoki, cod or blue rig, although the fish 'n' chip shop, it is clearly indicated. Other dishes you will find in your average fish 'n' chip shop areWedges, spring rolls, donuts, Kumara (sweet potato) chips and other delicious things. You may even find some battered and deep-fried Mars bars and bananas. The amount of fat that can be consumed is potentially high, but it is to try a delicious meal and eaten everywhere. I need to mention here, one of the iconic New Zealand's soft drinks, L & S. This is lemon drink my personal favorite and is based in Paeroa.

In New Zealand you will find all the usual fast-food outlets have all of usbe used, as it is or not, but you will also find a lot of places that advertise and sell organic produce and amazing fresh food, so do not worry that you will all get over there is barbecue and fish 'n' chips. The dining experience is of high standard, and you are dishes from all influences can be found here from Europe's Mediterranean to Asian Pacific. Perhaps none is more famous, but when the New Zealand Seafood experience. New Zealand has some world-classSeafood, and you can try and enjoy what is to offer some of the ocean in many places. Bluff oysters and mussels Marlborough Sounds are examples of iconic kiwi seafood and many other places sell fresh seafood for you to enjoy.

Many Kiwis will compliment their meal with a glass of wine or a beer, and with the amount of wineries and breweries around them are spoiled for choice. Beer has used the drink of choice for Kiwis to be everywhere, but wine is quickly becoming the most popular drinkand usually the drink is now with the food have, so why if you dinner for a bottle of wine is invited to bring a common gift.

Unfortunately, not all aspects of New Zealand culture are good. The Kiwi male used to be known, hard, tough and potentially violent, and this drink, including heavy. This permeates even into the present culture, although fortunately not as much. New Zealand is a country and begin to change the bad habits and manners, frowned upon. Theaverage Kiwi, but definitely not as liberal as their European colleagues and personal details and circumstances are usually kept in this way. Kiwis will take everything with a grain of salt and carefully each person who sticks or is in a position of authority.

In saying all that, but kiwis are really for the most part a great bunch to be around, and are very proud of their nation. I must say that we are one good reason to be proud of this piece of paradise, as havegood. Here are some beautiful beaches, sunshine and scenery that will astonish you. Kiwis are aware of what renders here as well and that the activities that many enjoy the participation and vacation destinations for families and individuals alike. In rural New Zealand hunting is a common past time and there is plenty of opportunity to play here. Fishing is also a very common activity and there are a lot of family friendly places to form a line or start a castBoat on the water for a relaxing day of fishing taken. Kiwis are very outdoors oriented and love on the beach or somewhere in the sun. I lovingly remember the days when I was younger, position on the local river and just lazing in the sun.

A common kiwi past time is shopping market worth mentioning. A lot of cities and towns over the weekend, hold a market with many things to see and shop for products. There are Famer markets, arts and crafts markets,Seafood markets and general township markets and here you can expect to see try and buy some iconic Kiwi food, art and transmission. In most cities will also hold annually, which is an A & P show. This is usually held over a weekend or a day and presents the best of rural New Zealand. Expect to see farm animals, iconic chopping wood, horses, antique tractors, Ferris wheels, cotton candy, yard dog trials and a number of different stalls, food and activities.

Writing about Kiwi culturewould be without a mention of our common rivals finish. Other nations have their rivalries, ie U.S. versus Canada, England against France and Sweden against Norway, and we felt we needed so we picked Australia. So there is a bit of a size difference there, but we Kiwis as a challenge. We do secretly like each other, but like the Mickey out of each other. Rugby Union and League, Cricket, Basketball and football are where you currently find most of the rivalriesout and played but it is a very general sense and one that happily admit on both sides of the Tasman with both the assumption of superiority defeat but happy, sometimes played.

There is really much more I could say about Kiwi culture, but I will draw to a conclusion and make you want to come to New Zealand to learn more. We are delighted visitors about and are proud to show the nation out anyone willing to see, use and respect. Good old fashioned KiwiHospitality is everywhere and must be experienced by all. To book your flight, pack your things and come over!
